Several members have had problems with vandalism of property. We addressed this problem with the help of Rep. Lucy Allen and Sen. Doug Berger of the NC General Assembly. Rep. Lucy Allen introduced House Bill #616 and Sen. Doug Berger introduced Senate Bill #714. The House bill "Offense of Pumper Portable Toilet/Pumper Trucks" moved first, passed the House, passed the Senate, and was signed into law by Governor Beverly Perdue on May 27, 2009. For the text of the law, click here to see SL2009-37. The NC General Assembly will next convene on May 12, 2010.
